Ikebana Demonstration by Grand Master Fujiwara Socho

Ikebana International Tokyo Chapter April Meeting at Reiganji Temple

We are pleased to announce that Fujiwara Socho, the 21st Headmaster of Kajiinomiyagoryu Ikebana, will present a special ikebana demonstration at the April Monthly Meeting hosted by Ikebana International Tokyo Founding Chapter.

The event will take place at Reiganji Temple in Kiyosumi-Shirakawa, Tokyo, located near the beautiful Kiyosumi Garden, well known for its historic landscape and collection of ornamental stones. In this serene setting, guests will have the opportunity to experience the expressive and dynamic world of ikebana created live by the Headmaster.

Following the demonstration, guests will also enjoy a rakugo performance by Sakutarō Hayashiya, a young rakugo storyteller.

This special program brings together the beauty of flowers and the traditional art of storytelling, offering a memorable spring afternoon.

The event is open not only to Ikebana International members but also to guests and non-members who are interested in ikebana or would like to experience a live demonstration by a Headmaster.

Access：3-minute walk from Kiyosumi-Shirakawa Station (Exit A3), Tokyo Metro Hanzomon Line / Toei Oedo Line

Admission Fee：TFC Member — ¥4,000 / Other Chapter Member — ¥4,500 / Guest (Non-member) — ¥5,000

• As the venue is a tatami-matted hall, guests will be asked to remove their shoes. Please bring socks if necessary.

• TFC Members are kindly asked to bring their membership card.

• Please note that the fee may not be refundable in case of unavoidable cancellation due to emergencies.
